Why Open a UDP Port?
Opening a UDP port allows players to connect directly to your Project Zomboid server, improving performance. This is particularly important for larger servers.
Steps
- Contact Support: Open a Technical Support ticket to request a new UDP port
- Once allocated, go to the Startup tab in your panel
- Set the STEAMPORT to the port our team opened for you
- Restart your server
