How to Upload Files to the Pterodactyl Game Panel

Uploading via the Panel (Small Files)

1. Log in to your Pterodactyl panel
2. Select the server you want to upload files to
3. Navigate to the Files tab
4. Navigate to the directory where you want to upload
5. Click the Upload button at the top right, or drag and drop files
6. Wait for the upload to complete

Tips

• Create new directories with the Create Directory button
• Rename or delete files by right-clicking them
• You can download individual files but not folders. To download folders, compress them first into a .zip or .tar.gz archive

Uploading via SFTP (Large Files and Folders)

For large files or entire folders, use an SFTP client like FileZilla.

Steps

1. Open FileZilla
2. Connect to your server:
   • Host: Your server's IP address
   • Port: 2022 (SFTP default)
   • Username: Your panel username (found in Settings → SFTP Details)
   • Password: Your panel password
3. Navigate to the target directory on the remote side
4. Drag and drop files/folders from local to remote
5. Monitor the transfer progress

SFTP Tips

• Your SFTP credentials are shown in the panel under your server's Settings tab
• Use SFTP (not FTP) for secure transfers
• FileZilla supports bookmarks for quick access to frequently used servers
