Server Not Showing in the Server List

## Common Causes and Fixes If you can't find your server in the Rust server browser, work through these checks in order. ## 1. Enable the "Show Empty" Filter Rust hides servers with zero players by default. In the server browser, make sure the **"Show Empty"** checkbox is enabled at the bottom of the filter options. ## 2. Check the Correct Tab - If your server runs **without Oxide** — look in the **Community** tab - If your server has **Oxide/uMod installed** — look in the **Modded** tab Installing Oxide automatically moves your server from Community to Modded. ## 3. Are You Running the Right Client? Make sure you're running **Rust**, not **Rust Staging Branch**. The staging branch connects to a different set of servers. ## 4. New Server? Wait 10-15 Minutes After first starting a new server, it can take 10-15 minutes for it to register with the Steam master server and appear in the browser. ## 5. Try Direct Connect Press **F1** in Rust and type: client.connect YOUR_IP:YOUR_PORT If this works, your server is running fine — it's just a browser or filter issue. ## 6. Check for Version Mismatch After a Rust update, your client may be on a newer version than the server. The server needs to update too. If the server hasn't updated yet, it won't appear for updated clients. ## Still Not Showing? If none of the above helps, open a support ticket and include your server IP and port. We'll investigate.
